Keele Conferences & Events scoops duo of awards

The Keele Conferences & Events team is celebrating after receiving two awards at the Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards on Monday 22nd February, 2010. The team picked up the silver award for ‘best value for money conference venue’ and bronze for ‘best conference and banqueting staff’.

The M&IT Industry Awards recognise and reward excellence and are voted for by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine. The awards took place at the Novotel London West with an audience of over 700 people.

Marcus Wilson, Deputy Head of Keele Conferences comments: “It’s an honour to be recognised by our customers and this is the 12th year running we have been recognised at the M&IT industry awards. Both wins are testament to the team’s hard work and dedication towards ensuring that we offer a number one service, value for money and award winning catering to our conference customers.”

The ceremony was hosted by popular BBC news presenter Kate Silverton with a speech by football legend Sir Geoff Hurst MBE in this year of the World Cup. The gala presentation included a special performance by the pupils of the Sylvia Young Theatre School and a video message from Bishop Desmond Tutu.
